Hey everyone, I have been doing a ton of thrifting lately and I have yet to share my finds or what I have done with them. As you may or may not we are currently in transition as we wait for our home to sell so we are renting a little place for the time being and I have tried to make it feel as homey as possible and I went back to my love for things you wouldn’t find in just anyone’s home. I shopped my own home and found odds and ends at thrift stores and flea markets.
I can’t stress enough to not be afraid of shopping second hand. It’s in those places that you can find the most unique pieces to add to your home. I’ve never been one to follow the trend. Right now I see everyone is going crazy over the farmhouse look and I to love it because I’m not one demenisonal when it comes to decorating styles. Although I feel as there’s not much originality out there anymore ( you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all) so I like to shop secondhand and create that eclectic vibe that nobody else has and FOR CHEAP! My dream would be to shop peoples homes and secondhand stores to create fabulous living spaces ( Maybe someday huh….?) Anyway, here is a look at my gallery wall….
I found ALL of these things at thrift stores and by shopping my own home. I recently have found a love for baskets…hanging baskets with plants in them and just hanging them on the wall as decor.
Everything here is from either the Goodwill or fleamarkets. A few items I have had laying around for years.
If you have been a follower of mine since I started this blog you would know I never put the television in our living room and I would constantly get asked why? or where is it? We usually have it in our bedroom and one in a family room. I’ve never liked the televisions in the room where people gather for coffee and good conversation but for now the big ugly thing has to be placed here, so I worked around it by creating a gallery wall around the television.
I love finding random items to create something unique from, especially for really cheap. I love the hunt!
Peace and Love…
